The 7th annual festival kicks off tonight and runs through the weekend at several venues in downtown Asheville, NC. The Grand Tasting event is the big finale on Saturday. This fabulous food and beverage festival consists of three days with three signature events. Thursday night is the Elixir feature, which focuses on craft cocktails and culminates in a contest between Asheville’s talented mixologists. Friday night’s feature is the Sweet event. You can guess what that is about! On top of decadent desserts, there will be samples from wineries and distilleries to try. The festival goes out with a bang at the Grand Tasting event. The Grand Tasting spans all three floors of the US Cellular Center downtown. It’s an afternoon of tastings, sips from distilleries and local breweries, and chef challenges, to name a few of the highlights. Visit with vendors and meet culinary authors and chat with chefs.
